VICTIM DIES
SPRINGFIELD, ILL. (AP) Jan. 3, 1968 - A Jacksonville resident whose son struck him with a baseball bat Dec. 27 died today in Springfield hospital.
The victim was Carl Power, 46. His mother, Mrs. Carl Power Sr., told police that Power was intoxicated and was smashing furniture when his son, Joe Wayne, 16, interfered.
Police said that it was not determined what action would be taken against the youth.
