L. M. "Slim" Bailey
Rogerson - L.M. "Slim" Bailey,
75, of Rogerson, died Tuesday at Magic
Valley Memorial Hospital after a brief
illness.
He was born Oct 9, 1904, at Texhoma,
Okla., and moved to Rogerson in 1927.
He had been involved in mining, ran-
ching, trucking, and trapping. He
served as water master at Roseworth
for several years, had worked as a
government trapper where he had de-
veloped a predator call to aid in trap-
ping. For several years he handled the
mail run from Rogerson to Jarbridge. He
had been a fence contractor, building
much of the fencing in the southern
Idaho-northern Nevada area. He was a
member of the 71 Livestock Association
and the Farm Bureau. He married
Josephine Caudle Aug. 21, 1930. at Twin
Falls.
Surviving are his wife of Rogerson;
five sons, Keith Bailey of Renton,
Wash., Tony Bailey of Hollister, Mark
Bailey of Reno, Luke Bailey of
Rogerson, and Sylvan Bailey of Twin
Falls; four daughters, Pauline Colyer of
Grand View, Carol Gilbert of Oreana,
Judy Morse of Hansen, and Rosalie
Gines of Hollister; a brother, J.B.
Bailey of Portland; five sisters, Lois
Cunningham of Challis, Iva Bailey of
Wendell, Wuaneta Ferrari and Sibyl
Goodman, both of Torrington, Wyo.,
and Nadine Dewey of Cheyenne; 35
grandchildren; and 13 great-
grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by a daughter, a son and three
brothers.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Satur-
day in Reynolds Funeral Chapel. Burial
will be in Twin Falls Cemetery. Friends
may call at Reynolds Chapel Friday,
and Saturday until time of service.
