Robert Walker, 86, died peacefully in his home on Wednesday October 13, 2004. He was born in Burdette, Missouri on December 7, 1917, where he lived until his family moved to Waterville, WA in 1937.
Robert (Bob) served in the army in WWII, where he made many lifelong friendships.
Upon his return he married his beloved Rosanelle in January 1946, and moved to the Wenatchee area. Bob made his living as a carpenter until 1976, when an injury forced him to retire. He was a proud lifelong member of the Carpenter's Union.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Rosanelle in 1996, and his grandson Brandy Pugh in 1999.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Sally Pugh and her husband Pat Pugh of Redmond, WA; his grandson, Graham Pugh, his wife Audra and daughter Maari of Kirkland, WA; and his sister, Ruby Black of Wenatchee. He is also survived by his nieces and their husbands: Dorthy and Will Walker, Cleo and Chuck Hammil, Ellen and Arnie Andres and their families, and Marilyn Harris and her son Raymond Harris.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association
or the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2004, at Jones & Jones Colonial Chapel. Jones & Jones Funeral Directors have been entrusted with arrangements.
