Jurleen Richards departed this life Wednesday, April 3, 1996 at 6:00 pm at her home on West Monroe in Las Vegas. She was born in Eudora, Arkansas on September 26, 1943 to Ophelia and Norman Dudley.

Jurleen began her education in the Arkansas School System. She later transfered to the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, she is a graduate of Rancho High School in North Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jurleen retired from the Desert Inn Hotel and Casino after 20 years of service, she was a Gust Room Attendant.

Jurleen accepted Christ in 1979 under the leadership of Reverend F.N. Addison, New Jerusalem Baptist Church at 1100 North "D" Street, where she sang in the choir and served on the Usher Board. In 1984 she moved her membership to her mother's church, Emmanuel Deliverance Temple, Pastor O.D. King, Overseer. Jurleen was faithful supporter of her church and supported many other churches in the Las Vegas community in addition.

Jurleen is preceded in death by her father, Norman Dudley, Sr. She is survived by her son Artis Richards; grandson Zavion Lomack; mother Ophelia Dudley King; sister Alvaina Allen; brothers, Norman Dudley, Jr., and Flenord Dudley; brother–in-law, John Allen, Jr.; and uncle Lewis Lee, all of Las Vegas, Nevada; four aunts, Rosie Minniweather of Tallulah, Louisiana; Dollie Anderson of Las Vegas, Nevada; Cora James, of Detroit, Michigan; Christina Grant of Los Angeles, California and a host of relatives and friends.
