Charlie and Mabel Avery owned a gravel company in Plainfield, IL when Charlie dies in 1935. At that time Mabel placed a tombstone with both of their names on it. Mabel decided to return to Barton County, MO to the area where her family was originally from. When Mabel passed away in 1975 in Joplin, MO, Mabel was buried along with many of her family members in the Nashville Cemetery in Barton County. Charlie and Mabel had no children.
