He was a stage driver for the Globe to Winkelman route and over the Apache Trail to Phoenix route when the highway was precarious and often full of danger for inexperienced drivers. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on Feb. 3, 1890 and died in Globe on July 6, 1964. He resided in Globe for 53 years. Ed was a co-owner of an automobile sales company from 1935 until his retirement in 1960. He had no known survivors, but he had many important, prominent friends in business who acted as pallbearers at his funeral and burial: Matt Marich, Stanley Gibson, Francis Knuckey, Dale Grabe, among them.
