Although born and baptized in his father's hometown of Warsaw, New York, "Little Albert" Shaw Fisher (named after his mother's younger brother, Albert Shaw), traveled at the age of three with his parents and older brother and sister to settle in Healdsburg, California, where his father was the supervising physician in charge of the new Lytton Springs Sanitarium.
Family stories say that Little Albert died accidentally at the age of three when he choked on a bean tossed into his mouth by his brother in the course of a game they were playing. Soon after his death, the family returned to New York State, relocating in Elmira.
No newspaper notices or obituaries for Little Albert's death have been found in either the Sonoma Democrat or the Healdsburg Tribune, but two notices appeared in the Warsaw, New York papers:

Albert Shaw Fisher, youngest son of Dr. and Mrs. John C. Fisher, of Lytton Springs, Cal., died at that place on Thursday, January 21st, [sic; Jan. 20] of pneumonia, aged 4 [sic; 3] years. Dr. and Mrs. Fisher have the earnest sympathy of their many Warsaw friends in this great sorrow.

Fisher, now residing at Lytton Springs, California, were deeply grieved last week at the death of their charming little son, Albert Shaw Fisher, a bright little man who had just turned four years of age [sic; he was 3]. Albert died on Tuesday, the 19th, of pneumonia, being ill but a few days [he died Jan. 20].

Recollection from visits to the grave in 1976 and 1977: Grave was found up on the hillside just a few minutes' walk from the flats. It was under trees, in a neglected area covered with ivy and underbrush. Gravemarker was a stone in the shape of a cross about 2-1/2 feet tall. Visitors in 2014 were unable to find the gravemarker; section where it was is very badly neglected and covered with brush, downed tree limbs, etc.
