She was born in Arkansas to David and Coy Gorden.
She grew up in Arkansas, where she attended high school and business college.
She moved to Tulelake in 1956 and to Dorris in 1984. She owned her own restaurant for several years and later worked for 12 years as an accountant for Basin Produce until becoming disabled in 1989.
Mrs. Ott was a former member of the Merrill Moose Lodge.
She and Ira Ott were married in 1986. He preceded her in death in 1987.
Survivors include her sons, Robert Heaton and his family of Batlesville, Okla., and Gary Dugan and his famiy and Wayne Frost and his family all of Dorris; sister, Hazel Smith of North Little Rock, Ark.; and numerous other relatives.
