Bill Reed-78, Windsor, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at the VA Hospital, in Columbia. He was born Sep. 6, 1925, in Centerview, The son of William Roscoe Reed, Sr. and Pleasant Jesse (McCormack) Reed, on Feb. 12, 1946 in Garnett, Kansas, he married Mildred Jeane Loveall, who survives of the home. He was a semi- truck driver for Manor Bakeries in Kansas City for over 25 years. He also was a dairy farmer and owned and operated with his wife a grocery store at Palo Pinto, South of Windsor for six years. He was also a caretaker at Farrington Park in Windsor for three years and worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart in Clinton for three years. He served in the United States Armry during World War II with the Screaming Eagles of the 101st airborne division. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Kansas City, VFW, Springfield. Teamesters Local #41 of Kansas City and the Windsor Masonic Lodge #29.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Thomas Reed, Shawnee, Kansas, Albert Reed, Overland Park, Kansas, a daughter Tammy Collins, Pomona, a brother Marion Reed, Warrensburg. Five sisters, Ruth Haun, Chillicothe, Maude DeAtley, Clinton, Nadine O'Bannon, Knob Noster, Mary Stutler, Deepwater, and Shirley Bridges, Kansas City, Nine grand children, three great grand children, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Ronald Lee Reed, Three brothers, Jessie, Albert, Amos and a sister Fern.

Graveside services will be Saturday, May 29 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Clinton,
