Thomas J. Gleason, 70, died March 14, 2009 at his home in El Reno. Prayer service will be 6 p.m. Sun., March 22. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 23. Both services will be at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Yukon with burial in the Yukon Cemetery. He will lie-in-state beginning Fri. at Huber-Benson Funeral Home in El Reno. Tom was born Sept. 21, 1938 in OKC, the son of John Joseph and Mary Agnes Montavy Gleason. He lived most of his life in OKC working for Hunzicker Brothers. He was a member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church Alcoholics Anonymous, a friend of Bill W. for 39 years and Knights of Columbus. He served on the Parish Council and Trust Board of St. Francis of Assisi Church, the Board of Directors of Bishop McGuinness High School and Rosary School Board. Tom married Karen Hutchins on Oct. 12, 1957. Karen survives him. Also survived by 4 daughters, Tamara Cleghorn of Farmers Branch, TX, Tori LaPorte of El Reno, Tonja Arnold of Yukon and Teri Carroll of El Reno brother, James Michael Gleason of Houston, TX 3 sisters, Mary LaReese Atchley, Dolores Orr and Joan Cowden, all of OKC 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Two granddaughters, Haley Elizabeth Arnold and Annie Grace Carroll preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to Bishop McGuinness Scholarship Fund, 801 N. W. 50th, OKC 73118.
