Dana Mae Richards Laxton, 94 of LaFollette, passed away Sept. 13 at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County in LaFollette. She was born July 30, 1914 and was a member of the LaFollette First Baptist Church. She along with her late husband operated Laxton's Coffee Shop for many years.
She was preceded is death by her husband, Lemuel Laxton; parents, Conda Richards and Hattie Morgan Richards all of LaFollette; brother Herbert Richards of Oak Ridge.
She is survived by her son, Gary Laxton and wife, Martha of LaFollette; daughter, Sue Laxton Coker and husband, Jack of Hazel Green, AL; granddaughters, Dana Coker Massey of Dunwoody, GA, Lee Ann Sharp and Amy Rutherford of
LaFollette; grandsons, Scott Laxton of Jacksboro and Keith Coker of Germantown; 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sept. 15 at Walters Chapel with the Rev. Bill Horner officiating. Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family requests memorials be sent to the LaFollette First Baptist Church, 255 West Central
