James Charles was the second of nine children born to John Henry & Martha Ann Long McCallie.,He was the grandson of William T. & Mary Ann Hanks McCallie.,(Note, Mary Ann Hanks was a 2nd cousin twice removed to Nancy Hanks the mother to Abraham Lincoln 16th president of the United States). James married Mamie Bell Robinson December 24, 1896 in Ardmore, Carter County, Oklahoma., and to this marriage there were six children born, Barney/Bessie/Fred/Lindsey/Leonard/Pete.
