He was survived by his wife of fifty eight years, Betty Braden Sheffield; son Richard Braden Sheffield; daughter Suzanne Sheffield; three grandchildren Sara Dell 'Omo and husband Tom; Richard Sheffield and wife Crystal and Stephen Sheffield; one great-grandson, Leo Dell 'Omo and one daughter-in-law, Mariagrazia Sheffield.
