Mrs. Jennings was a lifelong area resident and a homemaker. She loved to quilt and was very active in hootenannies at the Hammer Community Center. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Veta married Leroy Jennings Feb. 6, 1950; he survives in addition to her children, six sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Karen Jennings, Keith and Mary Kay Jennings, Kevin and Melissa Jennings, David and Teresa Jennings, all of Neosho, Dennis Jennings Goodman, and Brian Jennings, Neosho; a special nephew; five daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Orval Musgrave, Porter, OK, Diane and Jim Basinger, Bentonville, AR, Sheryl Hill, Carl Junction, Dena and Gary Huff, Goodman, and Jill and Kevin Larson, Neosho; four sisters, Vera Flynn, Neosho, Judy Duncan, Seneca, Erma Johnson and Sheila Myers, Neosho; 38 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a special niece.
