Mrs. Phyllis M. Rookus, age 91, of Bay City died on May 18th and was interned at the cemetery on May 21, next to her late husband, Mr. Peter Rookus. Mrs. Rookus was the daughter of Hiram and Cora (Matthews) Coon. She came to Bay City in 1946, worked at Bay City Roofing for many years, and was a highly active in church and community affairs throughout most of her life.
