For over 30 years, Lerew's Christmas lights and moving figures were an attraction for residents of the area.
He was retired from American Can Co. of Lemoyne; an Army veteran of the Korean War; graduated from Boiling Springs High School; and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where he was co-captain of the Ushers Association; and a member of Boiling Springs VFW Post 8851, Carlisle American Legion Post 109 and Elks Lodge, Cumberland Star Lodge 197 F&AM, Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Temple, Shrine Club and Turnpike Ramblers.
Surviving are his wife, Lourene Donnelly Lerew; two sons, David R. of Baltimore, Md., and Jason D. of Whitehall; a daughter, Victoria L. Burr of Carlisle; a sister, Janet E. Lerew; and two granddaughters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in his church. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Monroe Twp.
Viewing will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, with a Masonic service at 10 a.m.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland County Unit of the American Cancer Society, 117 N. Hanover St., Carlisle 17013.
