Alice May nee: Ostrom Spaeth, age 70, a resident of Corvallis for the past years who died Friday.

The daughter of Aaron and Mary nee: Anderson Ostrom, she was born May 3, 1895 at Evansville Minnesota.

She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College at St Peter Minnesota in the class of 1916. After graduation she was trained as an Army nurse and served four years during World War I at Army hospitals in San Francisco, and St Paul Minnesota. Following her service she worked for a few years for the Public Health Service prior to her marriage to Oliver W Spaeth on March 31, 1923, at Evansville. The couple made their home there until 1963 when they moved to Alexandria Minnesota. In June 1965 they came to Corvallis to be close to their son, Oliver Jr. Mrs. Spaeth had been a member of Augustana Lutheran Church all of her life and upon moving to Corvallis became a member of the Grace Lutheran Churh of this city. She had been active in many of the church activities most of her lifetime.

Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Oliver Jr of Corvallis and George A of Berkeley CA; two daughters, Mrs Edna Marie Granlund and Mrs. Kathlyn Alice Reimer both of Minneapolis; one brother, Waldemar Ostrom of Hutchinson MN and 10 grandchildren.
