He was a lifelong member of Concordia Lutheran Church, where he served as the Financial Secretary for 29 years and served on the church council numerous times.
Mr. Bost served in the U.S. Army during World War II, having spent four years in the Infantry 32 Division as a B.H.R. man. After being wounded in New Guinea, he was awarded a Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge and Purple Heart.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bost was preceded in death by brothers Hoyle and Eugene Bost and sister Lucille Bost Deal.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Smith Bost, whom he married Dec. 21, 1945; sons Emmett Bost (Delette) of Charlotte and Kenneth Bost (Anne) of Salisbury; daughter Betty Bost Cauble (Jamey) of Belmont; grandchildren Alexander James Cauble and Madison Louise Cauble.
