Bro. Clarence Griffin, son of the late, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Griffin, was born in Holmes County, on July 7, 1911.

He was united in holy matrimony to the late, Mrs. Annie Worsham Griffin, and to this union was born three children.

He confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Shiloh M. B. Church under the leadership of the late, Rev. L. W. Williams. He served as a faithful and devoted member of all of his church work until his death.

He departed this life Friday, September 22, 1978, at his home at 8:50 P.M.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one son Mr. Morris Griffin of Belzoni; three daughters, Mrs. Doris Reed and Mrs. Clarissa Neal of Belzoni, and Mrs. Ecola Thimes of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Mr. Paul Griffin of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mr. Ernest Griffin of Chicago, Illinois; one sister, Mrs. Jessie Mae Gammage of South Bend, Indiana; eighteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends.

The family wishes to thank all who have in any way provided expressions of comfort and consolation, both during the hours of illness and bereavement.
