Sharon was born the daughter of Arthur and Myrtle Wingert Buente. Mrs. Geiger was the Kankakee County Deputy Clerk since 1993. Her husband, Larry Geiger, whom she married Oct. 3, 1970, died in 1992. She was the treasurer for Colman Cemetery. She was also Sunday school teacher and superintendent at her church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, birds, gardening, cooking, plants and was an avid Chicago sports fan.
Surviving are one daughter, Lecia Geiger and special friend Paul Cadieux of Reddick; one sister and brother-in-law, Ardis and Allen Messer of Bonfield; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Owen and Patricia Buente, Harley and Carolyn Buente, all of Bonfield, Orlin and Sue Buente of Kankakee; father-in-law, Bob Geiger of Reddick; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Amy and Glenn Martin of Buckingham, Gertrude Buente of Kankakee; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are one son, Jeffrey; one sister, Shirley Hunyor; one brother, Elwin Buente; mother-in-law, Rosie Geiger; and one sister-in-law, Elaine Andrews.
