He was united in marriage to Emma Sophia Samuelson, Sept 30, 1902. He joined early with The Stockholm Lutheran Church and was transferred together with his family in 1922 to the Gethsemane Lutheran Church at Ong, where he has been a faithful member. He has served as Deacon, Chairman of the Board of Administration, Chairman of the Deacons and also several years as Deacon at the Stockholm Church.
His wife preceded him in death by six months and five days, having passed away May 16, 1939.
He leaves to mourn his death four children: Roy, Reynold, Ruth and Ruby, four grandchildren and his aged mother-in-law, Mrs Carolina Samuelson, all of Ong.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev A W Anderson at the Lutheran Church in Ong Wednesday, Nov 22, 1939 and Mr and Mrs Clinton Peterson sang a Swedish song at the home and "Jesus, Lover of My Soul" at the church. Olaf Larson sang a Swedish song at the church and Abel Christianson sang "One Sweetly Solemn Thought".
Pallbearers were: Harry Pearson, Arthur Johnson, Oscar Rudd, Henry Swanson, C L Wiberg and Algot Peterson.
Interment was made in the Ong cemetery.
