Maggie was the daughter of William Hutchens "Billy" Steen and Elizabeth Betsy Lusk. This couple had 6 children and Maggie was the only child who lived to be an adult. After Maggie married Dr. Alfred Bryant, this couple had four children. Alfred Bryant Jr.who married Clara Rice Carr. Margaret Clyde Bryant who married Clarence Beadles. Margaret Clyde was given her name form the Clyde river in Scotland. She was a highly accomplished woman who received her education in Nashville, Tennessee. Edgar Eugene Bryant was an attorney in Arkansas and was elected judge of the Fort Smith District in 1890. William Clarence Bryant who married Sarah Marie Bailey, was one of the owners of the Birmingham Wholesale Dry Good Company.
