He was born Jan. 17, 1953, to Bert and Persis Lord. He attended Shelley schools and Ricks College.
Kim did not fit society's definition of normal; he was God's idea of normal and what God would want us all to be: an incredibly loving, exceedingly forgiving, patient and courageous person who was a friend to all. He was an extremely talented artist and created his own cartoon characters. He loved learning and was an avid reader. Kim was very knowledgeable about many subjects, and he had a special interest in antiques.
Kim is survived by his brothers, David (Susanne) Lord and Gary Lord; and his sister, Trudy Kinder. He also leaves his beloved cousin and friend, Maria Bleak Sarrett and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and many of his beloved aunts and uncles.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to Dr. Krell and Dr. Wilson, their staff and Idaho Health and Rehabilitation for the loving care they gave to Kim.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today, March 25, in the Relief Society room of the Woodruff LDS 3rd Ward, 2055 Coronado in Idaho Falls. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls.
