Service: George Tisdale enlisted in 1775 in Soper's Co. for eight months,
Col. Read's regiment of the Mass. Line. In 1776, he enlisted again in Capt.
Soper's Co., Col. Mead's regiment for one year. Left the service January 1777
being honorably discharged at Peekskill. States on his headstone that he served
in the Revolutionary War.
