George C. Johnson, 59, of 211 East Main Street, Barnesville, a janitor at Barnesville Hospital, was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday. He had been ill.
Born Dec. 23, 1912, at Baileys Mills, Mr. Johnson was a son of George Delbert and Minnie Long Johnson. He was a member of Barnesville Church of the Assumption.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Thomas (Goldie) McAleer of Quaker City Route 3. A brother and a sister are deceased.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Church of the Assumption with Rev. Fr. Gregory Palmer in charge. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery at Quaker City.
