The Grim Reaper
Adam J. Hubbard passed away Monday morning at his farm, northwest of Newton. Death was due to heart and kidney trouble. He was born near Martinsville, Indiana, February 25, 1860, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Hubbard, and came to Jasper county in early manhood. For many years Mr. Hubbard operated a threshing machine and sawmill, and was well known all over the southern part of Jasper county. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna J. Hubbard; three sons, Ercel and Audrine Hubbard at home, and Harold Hubbard of Champaign; five grand-children; three sisters, Mrs. John W. Bayse of Newton, Mrs. Jack Chaney of Noble and Mrs. William Zimmer of Glendive, Montana; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Reese Funeral Home in Newton this afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Mrs. Garfield Crouse will conduct the last rites.
