Inmon Charles Gilder, 84, a retired maintance mechanic for Chicago Mills, died of heart failure Tuesday at his home. Services are at 10 a.m. today at Mortimer Funeral Home, with burial in Elzey Cemetery.
Mr. Gilder was a Vardaman native. He was a US Marine Corps veteran. He worked for Chicago Mills 28 years in Greenville. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He had been married to his wife 60 years.
Survivors include his wife, Nell; sons, Charles Spencer Gilder of McMinnville, TN, Thomas Kelly Gilder of Little Rock, AR and Danny Gene Gilder of Greenville; daughter, Ethel Lee Bean of Brandon; brother, James Hernon Gilder of Tupelo; sister, Mary Etta Hardin of Tupelo; and eight grandchildren.
