Mable Florence James, 81, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Miss.

She was born Oct. 30, 1927, in Nettleton, Miss., to William Askew and Alma Armstrong Askew.

She was an Employee of Blue Bell for 25 years and a Member of Providence Baptist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Lynton Younger and Bro. David Perry officiating.
Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery in Vina, Ala.

Survivors include seven Children, Doris Jernigan and Husband, Jimmy, Fulton; Brenda Turbyfill of Vina; Sonny James and Wife, Sue, of Marietta, Ohio; Janice Loden and Husband, Brack, and Foy James, both of Tremont; Troy James and Wife, Dawn, of Red Bay and Mary Eastep and Husband, Toby, of Muscle Shoals, AL; three Sisters, Annie Lou Burks and Willene McCabe, both of Florida, and Faye Turbin of Potts Camp; a Wwin Brother, Marion Askew and Wife, Betty, of Potts Camp; nine Grandchildren; one Step Grandson; 10 Great Grandchildren; two Step Great Grandchildren; one Great Great Grandson; and a host of Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Ray James.

Pallbearers will be Terry James, Jerry James, Ronald Coats, Richard Townsend, Jeff Bolding and Matthew Askew.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnnie Weatherford, Tim Sparks, Bobby Ashley, Johnny McCabe and Wesley Eastep.
