Ten Retired Commanders Are Named Admirals Under Recent Act of Congress.
The Navy department gave war time rank today to 302 officers of the Navy and Marine Corps, the advancement in rank being in accordance with the provisions of the law passed in June to give war time rank to retired officers and former officers of the Navy, Marine Corp and Coast Guard. The Naval officers obtaining the higher rank include 10 Admirals, 6 vice admirals, 10 rear admiral and 8 captains.
