He is also survived by three sons: Richard Mills (Cinda) of Urbana, Ohio, Harold Mills of Piqua, Ohio and Martin Mills (Jenna) of Troy, Ohio; two sisters: Shirley Snider and Gladys Shell of Christiansburg, Ohio; many grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mills was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
He was a member of the Redman Lodge and a former member of the Troy AMVETS. He was also a US Army Veteran, having served in WWII. Mr. Mills loved the outdoors and was a great fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed playing cards and visiting with family and friends during any occasion.
He retired from Hobart Brothers in 1982 and was a painter and substitute custodian for Troy City Schools.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with interment to follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio. Pastor Greg Simmons will officiate. There will be military honors at the graveside. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home
