"EDUCATOR SUCCUMBS"

Frank S. Woolson, of Fishing Creek, and Bucknell Graduate,
Dies at Home of Sister-in-law in Philadelphia--Held responsible positions

"Frank S. Woolson, 44 years of age, died at the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Florence Landrom, Philadelphia, Tuesday after an illness of a week. Mr. Woolson, as a boy was educated in local public schools and later attened Bucknell college, working his way thru to complete the course. For three years he was supervisor of the Camden Junior H. S., which he organized after visiting the best Junior High Schools in the country. The best ideas of all those visited were incorporated in the Camden school. For four years he was supervisor of the Haddon Heights High School and in that time was appointed instructor at New Brunswick summer school. The latter position he was forced to relinquish because of ill health. After resigning last year from the Haddon Heights schools he accepted the supervisorship of the Point Pleasant schools, but only after one day's attendance was taken ill and after a week in Philadelphia where some of the foremost specialists were called in consultation, he succumbed. He is survived by his widow who will be remembered in Cape May as Miss Eva Rutherford; a widowed mother, Mrs. Hannah Woolson, Fishing Creek; three brothers, Albert Woolson, Collingswood; Daniel Woolson and Charles Woolson, of Fishing Creek; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Schellenger and Mrs. Hannah Yearicks of Fishing Creek. Services were held from the old Fries homestead and the Woolson home, Cape May, Thursday."
