She was born on August 20, 1930 in Ennis, Texas to Arthur F. & Ruby Cooke Allred and lived the majority of her life in Lindale & Tyler. Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Lindale High School, a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a Homemaker. She was a Baptist.
