The funeral service for Mrs. Ella Rose Jordan, will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 2, 2018, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with interment at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 1, at Riverwood, and will resume on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mrs. Ella Rose Jordan, 86, of Bogue Chitto, passed from this life on January 29, 2018. She was born February 26, 1931, to Pence W. Brown and Ola Mae Brown. She was retired from the Department of Human Services where she was a Supervisor.
Mrs. Ella was very involved in the community and in the church. She participated in the WMU, LLL, Sunday School, and Choir. She also enjoyed sewing. Mrs. Ella was a member of First Baptist Church of Brookhaven.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Margaret Brown and Betty Smith and husband Alton; brothers, Hilton Brown and wife Irene, Hansel Brown and wife Merle and Hulon Brown and wife Irene.
Those left to cherish her memory are, her daughter, Deborah Davis; brothers, Robert Brown and wife, Marilyn; sisters, Katie Boyd, June Ballard, Charlotte Matthews; two grandchildren, Jennifer Clark and husband Britton, Chris Davis and wife Emily; and four great grandchildren, Kaleigh Davis, Trent Davis, Sam Clark, and Will Clark.
The family would like to extend a note of thanks to Haven Hall Healthcare Center for all their care and compassion for Mrs. Ella.
