He is the son of Charles Henry Davis 1845-1921 and Louisa Maria Quackerbush 1848, His Parents were married 27 Dec 1875 in Cambridge, Middlesex, MA.

He is the Grandson of Admiral Charles Henry Davis 1807-1877 Buried at Cambridge Cemetery Middlesex, MA (Find A Grave # 12922) and Harriot Blake Mills 1818-1892 also buried at Cambridge Cemetery (Find A Grave # 55646286) they were married 22 Dec 1842 Cambridge, Middlesex MA. He was a Rear Admiral US Navy Serving during the Civil War with the US Coast Survey. There are several Navy Ships named after him as well as a Specie of Sea Anemone which is native to the New England Coast.

He is the Great Grandson of Elijah Hunt Mills 1776-1829 and Harriet Blake 1780-1871. Elijah was a US Congressman, US Senator and Elected to the House of Reprsentives for Massachusetts.
He is buried in Bridge Cemetery Northhampton, Massachusetts (Find A Grave # 7493107) Harriet Blake is Buried at Cambridge Cemetery, MA (Find A Grave # 53937325)

He is the 3rd Great Grandson of Daniel Davis 1713-1799 and Mehitable Lothrop 1717-1764. Daniel Davis was a Patriot of the American Revolution for MA. He Served on the Provincial Congress. He is buried at Cobb's Hill Cemetery in Barnstable, MA (Find a Grave # 71482044) Mehitable is buried at Cobb's Hill also (Find a Grave # 7635502) These memorial will link to other very impressive ancesstors and their graves.
