E.C. Hobbs Services Thursday
Services were held Saturday afternoon at the Williamson Chapel, Cassville, for E.C. (Bud) Hobbs, 61, Wheaton, who died Thursday morning at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack. The Rev, Hugh Higgs officiated. Burial was in McCollough Cemetery, near Viola.
Mr. Hobbs was born June 5, 1914, near Viola, Mo., and spent most of his life there, moving to Wheaton about two years ago. He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clara Hobbs; five sons: Buddy Hobbs of Purdy route 1., Dewey Hobbs and Don Hobbs, both of Kansas City, Mo., Doyle Hobbs of Eldorado, Kans., and Bobby Hobbs of Anderson, Mo.; two daughters Mrs. Linda Sue Powell of Wheaton, and Mrs. Mary Lue Washick of Purdy route 2; two brothers Raymond Hobbs of El Sobrante, Calif., and Roy Hobbs of Oroville, Calif.; a sister Mrs. Josie Brigman of Brawley, Calif., and 22 grandchildren.
