Lorraine May Tessner, 69, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, July 7, 2008, at her residence.
Born March 15, 1939, at Doniphan, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Virgie Shirley Brown. She was a newspaper distributor for the St. Louis Post Dispatch and the Memphis Commercial Appeal. She was a member of the Spoonerville Baptist Church at Malden.

On Sept. 25, 1959, she married James Tessner, who survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Angie Barnes and husband, Donnie, of Malden and Sharon Brown and husband, Mike, of Dexter, Mo.; three grandchildren, Lori O'Dell and Michael Brown, both of Dexter, and Kelsi Barnes of Malden; two great-grandchildren, Brittany Bryant and Hayden O'Dell, both of Dexter; four sisters, Fay Walker of Doniphan, Lisa Helton of Malden, Linda West of Bragg City, Mo., and Wilma Johnson of Piggott, Ark.; and two brothers, Manferd Brown and Jimmy Brown, both of Malden.

One brother preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, July 10, 2008, at the Landess Funeral Chapel at Malden.

The memorial service will be at 1 p.m., Friday, July 11, 2008, at the Landess Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.

Burial will follow at the Rosewood 1st Addition Cemetery at Malden.
