Mr. Kennedy was a retired employe of the J. M. Wilkinson Co., building contractor of Richmond. He was born on Jan. 30, 1903, in Spotsylvania County, a son of the late David and Birdie Mae Knighton Kennedy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Doris Ramsey Kennedy, in 1958.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George A. (Dorothy) Stein of Route 1, Lyndhurst, and Mrs. Bobby (Sandra) Mays of Waynesboro; one sister, Mrs. Amanda Payne of Spotsylvania; one brother, Robert M. Kennedy of Richmond; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in teh Sherando United Methodist Church cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Clyde W. Weaver Jr.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8 at the Etter Fuenral Home. The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions of the Sherando United Methodist Church Building Fund.
