Cecil was the son of James E. Parrot and Eva Georgia Warner, both born in Taylor County Kentucky.


Cecil Parrots birth certificate says he was born in August but it was filed in September.

Services for Cecil Edward Parrott, 56, Shelbyville, formerly of Indianapolis, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Murphy Mortuary, Shelbyville, with calling after 4 p.m. today. He died Tuesday in Roudebush West 10th Street Veterans Administration Hospital. He had worked at Chevrolet Truck and Bus Manufacturing Division of General Motors Corp. in Indianpolis 18 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Becon Baptist Church and Veterans of Foreigh Wars Post 2695, both in Shelbyville. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Born in Indianapolis, he lived in Shelbyville most of his life.
Survivors: wife Ida Marie Sosbe Parrott; were married January 21, 1956; son Jody Parrott; brother, Hullett Parrott; sister, Thery Smith; half-sister Jean Allen; half brothers, Leroy and Steven Parrott.
