The death angel visited this area again last Friday, this time taking the soul of Mrs. Nancy E Parker, who died at the Providence Infirmary in Mobile Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
Mrs. Parker's death came after an illness of several weeks in which time she contracted pneumonia after having undergone an operation.

She was a native of this county, and a lifelong resident here. She was born September 29, 1864, and became the bride of W.B. Parker. They continued to reside in this county, and lived together in the Barton Community until death entered and took Mr. Parker to his reward a few years ago.

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Parker Sunday morning at 10:00 at the Shady Grove Church, with Rev. G.S. Jenkins and Rev. Earl Brooks having charge of the last rites.
Interment was made in the Howell Family Cemetery with McKays Morticians in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by one son, John D. Parker, and two daughters, Mrs. Steve Havard and Mrs. Frances Rouse, all of Lucedale, and 18 grandchildren and other relatives who mourn her passing.
Pallbearers were T.H. Byrd, Noll Goff, R.M. McKay, Greg Dickin and M.M. Griffin.

Relatives and friends attending the funeral of Mrs. Nancy Parker las Sunday included Mr. and Mrs. Roy Goff, of Moss Point, Mrs. J.H. Swindell, Prichard, Mr. and Mrs. Curt Howell of Semmes, and Miss Gussie Taylor of Pascagoula.
