Death of Miss Katie Gibson ~ This promising young lady, aged about seventeen years, died Wednesday of fever, at the residence of her father, Mr. Thomas Gibson, near Salem, Ala. She was the sister of Mr. Thomas Gibson, of the firm of Gibson & Boyd of this city. Her illness was but for a few days, and she passed away very suddenly. The remains will be brought to his city to-day at 11 o'clock by the Western Railroad of Alabama. The funeral will take place from the depot. The bereft family and kindred have the deepest sympathies of their many friends.
