Milton was the son of Jesse Womack and Delilah Blair. During the Civil War he enlisted as a Private with the Union Army on Nov 25, 1863 in Columbia, Ky. Then, on Dec 23, 1863, he
enlisted in Co K of the 13th Calvary Regiment of Ky and eventually mustered out of service on Jan 10, 1865 at Camp Nelson, Ky. He married Lockey Ann Grider, the daughter of
William Preston Grider and Isabella Bailey. She had previously married Daniel Bryant, the son of Peter Bryant and Ann McAllister. He died Dec 20, 1862 from an illness contracted during his fleeting military service in the 5th Cav Regiment of Ky, Co D.

Lockey and Daniel had 2 children: John M, born abt 1857 and Timolean born about 1860. Her children with Milton were James Anderson, Archer, Elizabeth, Hybernia and Albert Womack.

The current narrative states that Milton died as a result of the Civil War while with the 5th Cavalry. This is not accurate. He survived the war and died in 1901. He served in the 13th Kentucky Cavalry and had joined with his two brothers Morgan and Harrison (my great-grandfather). The current information should be corrected in the narrative.
