J.D. Keigans, 60, of Orangeburg, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 1992 at The Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill, with the Rev. Danny McLellan officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Baptist Church Cemetery, Ridgeville.

Mr. Keigans was born in Dorchester, a son of the late John P. Keigans and Margaret Fewox Keigans. He was retired from Elkay Industries, a musician, a member of the Odd Fellows, a former volunteer fireman and former Jaycee.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gloria J. Connelly of Branchville and Mrs. Brenda Faye Bivens of Charleston; three sons, James W. Keigans of Summerville, John Daniel Keigans of Orangeburg and Bennie Preston Keigans of Hollywood; a sister, Mrs. Annie Ruth Lusk of Ocalla, Fla.; two brothers, William D. Keigans of Johns Island and John A. Keigans of Hannahan; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Friends may call at the residence of Betty Behie, Hutto Street, Harleyville and at the funeral home.
