Bessie was born to parents William and Margaret(DeLong)Canfield near Mitchelville Iowa. At an early age she moved with her family to a farm near Boyceville WI where she lived for many years and obtained her elementary and high school education. On January 7, 1920 she married Floyd Burton and continued to reside in the Connersville area until April 1959 when they moved to Emerald. She was a member of the Emerald methodist Church. She is survived by husband Floyd of Emerald, Son Donald of menomonie, and daughter Phyllis(Mrs Harry Ross) Anoka MN, two grandchildren, one great grandchild, sisters; Della(Mrs James Van Dien) Boyceville, Daisy(Mrs Earl Schmidt) Connersville, Miss Ida Canfield of University City Missouri, and Elsie(Mrs Floyd Ozborne) Los Angeles California, brothers; Jerry and Edwin of Glenwood City, and Ted of Stacy Minnesota. Funeral services were held at the Connersville Methodist Church. Pallbearers were John Jancoski, Clifford Olson, Arthur Dorwin, Charles Diller, Russel Frey, and Edwin Carlson.
