Marie was the daughter of Carl Waterman and Marie Coleman of Germany. She was the third wife of William Vossloh. She immigrated to the United States 19 OCT 1891 on the ship Fulda from Bremen to New York, where the passenger origin is listed as Niederweist. This is probably Niedernwohren, where William and his first two wives originated. Marie paid for her sister, Christina, to come over in 1902 and those records indicate that she came from Cammer or Kammer, which is near Niedernwohren.

William and Marie had five children: George Henry, Fred August William, Amelia, Sophia and Herman.
