According to his death certificate, he was the son of Unknown Bargman and Minnie Bargman both born in Holland. He was a retired rancher, married, and lived at the Winslow Hotel. He died at the Winslow General Hospital at age 77 owing to myocardial insufficiency due to cario-vascular and renal disease. He was buried on 22 January 1947.

Notes from Edward Henry Bargman's OBit Jan 1947 AZ...indicated that when he was 4 years old the family moved to Texas from Ca after his parents came from Dutch stock and the Old country....and at the age of 12 he moved with the family to AZ to Prescott. At age 16 he went to work for a cattle company outside of Winslow. Later he and brother Joe (Hoyer) bought a small cattle outfit with range in Tuba City AZ. There they suffered all the hardships of the early pioneer life: Cattle rustling, drought, dust, heat illness and death which ended when range land disappeared by gov't edict. Ed Bargmann and Barney Stiles bought an interest in the Hash Knife outfit near Holbrook but later when they bought the Tolapi Ranch they severed connections with Hash. He bought cattle and made a good name for himself. He finally sold that and moved with his family to Winslow. His wife was Miss Eliza Mabel Jervis formally of Holbrook. They were married in 1905. They had three children: Margaret who died in 1911, Richard and Jassinmine. It was said of Ed that he was a true pioneer"A man of the old west has taken the long long trail leaving many kindly memories behind. His word was his bond When he called anyone a friend he meant it. The song "Don't fence me in" typifies Ed Bargmann..... one of the old time cowmen fast passing on to their "last Roundups"

Uncle Ed Bargmann was born in 1869. 4 years later the family moved to Texas from Cooperolis Ca. THis parents were origianlly from Holland. 8 years after moving to Texas Ed moved to Winslow/ Prerscott AZ and 4 years father that he and "Joe" (HOyer Bargmann, Cora, Lola and Frankie's father) bought a cattle ranch near Holbrook, AZ called tThe Tolapi Ranch
