Paul Easlon Jr.
Madras resident Paul Allen Easlon Jr. died June 3, 2007, at the age of 50.
Mr. Easlon was born Jan. 14, 1957, in Fort Campbell, Kent., to parents Paul and Bobbie (Smith) Easlon Sr.
He had lived in Central Oregon for the past 20 years, and taught welding classes at Central Oregon Community College. He was a member of the American Welding Society, a former member of the Odd Fellows Redmond Lodge, and was a drill sergeant for the Army Reserve.
His special interests included iron work, knives, camping and being outdoors, and wild animals. He subscribed to Joseph Campbell's belief: "Follow your bliss."
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Easlon of Madras; sons, Levi Easlon of Issaquah, Wash., and Travis Easlon of Redmond; daughters, Ryan Johnson of Madras; brother, Michael Easlon of Vernonia, Ore.; sister, Carol Elek of Redmond; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., June 16, at Bel-Air Colonial Funeral Home in Madras.
