Edward Lee Welton, Sr., 90, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Saturday March 28, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy G. Welton; daughter, Cynthia Anne Welton; sons, Edward Lee Welton, Jr., William Joseph Welton, Sr. and Stephen Curtis Welton; aunt, Helen Bowler; grandchildren, William, Angela, Matthew, Ryan and Haley; great-grandchildren, Kristina and Sammy; great-great-grandson, Brandon.
Ed retired from E. I. DuPont after 40 years of service, was a member of Acacia Masonic Lodge #315 in North Augusta, SC, joined Branch's Baptist Church in 1932 and was a Navy veteran of WWII.
