Charles Barnum, 76, of New Bloomfield, died Friday at his home in Williamsburg, Kansas of paralysis. He was born and reared in Callaway Co. and went to Kansas to reside more than 35 years ago.
His widow, three sons, Herbert, James and Fred, a daughter, Myrtle, a sister, Mrs. Henry Rice of this city and three brothers Ross, Allen and C.F. (Cyreneus) Barnum all of Cedar City survive.

Charles Barnum was born at the family home in Erie County, New York - Newstead Township (the house and barn are still standing and on the historic register of the county). His parents, Joshua Barnum Jr. and Anne (nee Brosius) Barnum migrated from New York to Callaway County, Missouri, Cedar Township, sometime between 1870-1880.
