Died at age 49 of an aneurysm after fall in bathtub. She was fine with some paralysis on one side for about a week as doctor told her not to move at all, suggesting it would heal. Morning after the night Marjorie got her up in a chair to "party" with Marge's friends, she slowly faded away, suggesting not a stroke as doctor guessed, but a slow aneurysm bleed. Marjorie held her until she died. Told by all three children over the years.

Family all lived on Powers' farm in Aboite Twp. and were born there on the farm - Married husband Grover Shannon on 6/5/1912, Hillsdale, MI.

1920 census clerk at shop. 28 yr, home mortgage, Vera 26, Mildred 8. 3730 Piqua.
1930 census sales, 38 yr, own home $6000 value. Vera 36, Mildred 18, Marjorie 7, Robert 3.
