Opal C. Luttrull, age 91, of Sparta died Sunday, September 6, in the home of her daughter. She was born July 13, 1907 near Sparta and was the daughter of Loyd and Rebecca (Nix) Jenkins. On December 22, 1926 she and Gussie E. "Tooster" Luttrull were married. Together they farmed and raised their family near Rogersville. Following Mr. Luttrull's death in 1968 Mrs. Luttrull moved to Sparta. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sparta; where she taught Sunday School until the age of 86. She was also a member of the Sparta Garden Club. She was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, two brothers, Ralph and Ray Jenkins,, a sister Mary Ray, and a son-in-law, Roger Schweppe. Survivors include: Three children, Herbert Luttrull and his wife, Juanita, Rogersville, Leslie Luttrull, Springfield, and his friend Juanita Bolin, Ozark, and Betty White and her husband, Gene, Sparta; seven grandchildren, Joyce McCrea, Danny, David, and Rick Luttrull, Vicki Rhodes, R.D. and Gregg Schweppe; sixteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Merle Wilson, Fullerton, California, Mildred Phillips, Mansfield, and Pauline Morrison, West Lynn, Oregon; a sister-in-law, Edna Jenkins, Waynesville, and a brother-in-law, Don Ray, Fordland. Funeral services were Wednesday, September 9, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Rev Gary Robertson and Greeley Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial was in Springhill Cemetery.
